Platinum ECM Start/Stop

Platinum Start/Stop ECM (Enhanced Cyclic Mat), also known as AFB (Prestige Flooded Battery) or EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) is an evolution of traditional lead-acid batteries and is the best option for compact cars equipped only with the Start & Stop function, perfect for entry Level Start/Stop vehicles.

We can expect the ECM Micro-Hybrid batteries to win a large proportion of the Car Parc by 2015 as the first real shift towards these new technologies is set to take place.

The Start/Stop ECM is a reliable power source that supplies all ancillary equipment, including all ‘in car electrical loads’. Start/Stop vehicles demand more from the battery especially when the engine is in an idle/off position, the increased cyclic performance that the ECM brings provides the perfect power solution.

With increase starting power and performance the START/STOP ECM is the first Micro-Hybrid battery that is playing a key role as Start/Stop vehicles evolve and grow within the European Car Parc.

Please note you can replace ECM batteries with AFB/EFB/ECM or AGM batteries only.

Start/Stop Plus AGM

The main distinguishing feature of the AGM battery is the Gas Recombination technology, this keeps any Oxygen & Hydrogen that may escape from a standard Lead-Acid battery within the battery throughout the charging period.

The oxygen released from the positive plate can recombine with the Hydrogen in the negative plate following the disassociation of water during charging, thus completing the recombination process. This establishes a closed electrochemical cycle, with ZERO gas emission or water consumption.

AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) is designed for Micro-Hybrid vehicles with Start & Stop device, Brake Energy Regeneration and other technologies designed to reduce fuel consumption, such as:
